SPF Conference

STATEMENT BY STEFFY VONSCOTT, PRESIDING OFFICER: SCOTTISH PF CONFERENCE

I know that many Pagans have contacted me about this year’s SPF conference. I wanted to reassure you that the safety and wellbeing of our Pagan community is incredibly important to me and the SPF Council.

Difficult times lie ahead. We find ourselves in the midst of a global pandemic the likes of which has never been seen in our lifetimes. All theatres, bars, museums, schools, and restaurants have now been closed. People are being told to social distance and those in the at risk categories told to self-isolate. It is a worrying time for many of us. Our community come first, and their health, safety and wellbeing is the most important thing to us right now.

It is because of this that we have decided to hold an online conference this year, that will take place with a five-day special online conference in its place featuring Morgana Sythove, Rachel Patterson, Sorita D'Este, Jack Grayle, Kevin Groves, Emily Carlin, Lindsay River and many, many more.

I hope that Pagans within the Scottish community as well as across the globe will enjoy the online conference, which we will provide free to all.

As things currently stand. we are on course to make a significant four-figure financial loss that could impact our future events. We are offering all our ticket holders full refunds, but ask those who can afford it to let us know if they don’t wish a refund. please email conference@scottishpf.org to let us know.

If people wish to support us, they can still buy tickets to go towards the costs we had already invested into the event.

To help us deliver the online conference, we have drafted in Ness Bosch, who has coordinated two very successful online Pagan conferences: International Witchcraft Symposium and Fellowship of Isis International Conference.

Many thanks for all your support, and please stay safe everyone. Feel free to reach out to us if you need support during these difficult times.
